For the first time ever, the World Cheese Awards will be held in Switzerland from November 13 to 15, 2025. Taking place in Bern, it will bring together over 5,000 different cheeses from nearly 50 countries. This will be the 37th edition of this international event, organized by the Guild of Fine Food (UK).
Why should you attend the World Cheese Awards?
Observe the judging: When you travel to Bern for the World Cheese Awards, you can witness over 250 international jury members assessing the best cheeses from around the globe. Then, the jury will announce this year’s winners at the grand finale on Thursday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m.

Enjoy Swiss specialties: Another event taking place under the umbrella of the World Cheese Awards is the Swiss Fine Food Market. Held in a 2,000 square meter hall, it will feature regional culinary specialties from all over Switzerland to taste and purchase, including of course, cheese.
Visit the Cheese Festival: As part of the World Cheese Awards, you can also visit the Käsefest Bern. You’ll find this event outside and around the new festival hall at Expo Bern.
Discover Regional Craft Beers: Your ticket to the World Cheese Awards will also get you into the Bärner Bier Rundi 2025. This beer festival will take place on Friday, November 14 and Saturday, November 15.
