I am very pleased to announce that I will be hosting a Culinary Walking Tour of Neuchâtel’s City Center, which will take place during the Semaine du Goût (Week of Taste) as part of Neuchâtel ville du goût 2017. My walking tour is scheduled for Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. It will be given in English, as an opportunity for non-francophones to learn about some of the culinary specialties of this region.
After living in Neuchâtel for nearly five years, this tour allows me to share some of my favorite spots in the city where you can purchase locally-made foods, such as cheese, chocolate, bread and wine. During the tour, you can take part in dégustations (or tastings) at five different locations. You will also learn about the history of these local shops as we wander through the city center, with its limestone buildings famously described by the French writer Alexandre Dumas as looking like they were carved out of butter.
If you have any questions or would like to sign up for my Culinary Walking Tour of Neuchâtel’s City Center, please send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. The number of places is limited, so reserve your space early to guarantee a spot. Cost: CHF 30, per person.
